From the Gospel Daily

Today's Verse

For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord. - Romans 6:23

There is nothing simpler or more complex than the heart of this message. It is the basis of the entire Gospel. As sinners, we are dead the moment we are conceived in our mother's womb (Ps 58:3). We enter the world dead in our transgressions and as we live, we let sin reign in our mortal bodies (Ep 2:1-2). There is absolutely no reason why we should be allowed to live in eternity with God. None. We have never done anything worthy of the Lord or worthy of eternity. But praise God! He so loved us that He was willing to give up His life so that we could have life in Him. Who can even fathom the depths of such love? We have no merit before God to say this is what I have done and this is why I should be in eternity. All we can say is, "Lord this is what You have done for me. Thank You for this amazing gift." – Commentary by Sarine Thomas

IT IS FINISHED.  You are cleansed of your sins.

From THE GOSPEL DAILY

The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. - Psalm 19:7

Many argue that because of what Christ did, we are no longer under the law, but under God’s grace. This is only partially right; due to what Christ did, we are no longer slaves to sin. The law in Roman’s 6-7 explains this. The Law itself is just and shows us how to live holy lives. Before you contradict this, let me further explain. The law gives us an awareness of sin, without the law, we have no idea what sin is. The minute that we know what the law of God requires, sin in us rebels against it and refuses to obey. Through Christ, we are free from this power of sin, NOT from the Law. Grace does not void the Law, we are still held accountable to the Law's standards. The difference, however, is that we now have the power of God to defeat our rebellious nature and live according to the Law of God. – Commentary by Sarine Thomas

HOW SURE ARE YOU THAT YOU ARE GOING TO HEAVEN???

FROM AMAZINGGRACEMISSION.ORG

HOW TO BE SURE OF HEAVEN

Do you know how to get saved? You might ask, "Saved from what?"
Saved from going to a place called hell.
If you do not come to the realization that you’re lost in your sin, headed to a place called hell, you can not be saved from it.
On the other hand, you can choose to go to heaven by responding to the Word of God by asking for forgiveness of your sin receiving God’s gift of eternal life through Jesus. Then you can know for sure you are going to a place called heaven.
Which will you choose? Heaven - or - Hell?In order for you to make a good decision, you need to know all the facts. Or, as Paul Harvey says, "The rest of the story."
Man is sinful and is separated from God so he can’t know and experience God’s love and plan for his life. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23That includes you.
God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life and you can know and experience His plan for your life.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
However, you need to respond to His love.
Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for your sin, and through Him you can know and experience God’s love and plan for your life."But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" John 1:12
He is the only way! You must individually receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord. Then you can know and experience God’s love and plan for your life.  Jesus saith unto him "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6
The Bible says:"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:10
This is not talking about intellectual belief. This word believeth means to put your whole trust in Jesus.  "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13  Are you a whosoever? Have you called on him for your salvation to give you eternal life?
You actually choose your own eternal destiny. You either choose to receive Jesus into your life or you don’t. If you reject him you have made a bad choice.  The Bible says:  "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." John3:36 The only reason someone goes to hell is for rejecting Jesus as Saviour and Lord.
You may be saying, "I believe in Jesus." That is good, but if it is only intellectual belief, that will not do, according to the Word of God.
The word believeth means to put your entire trust in Him. The problem with many is that they know a lot about Jesus but do not know Him. There are two kinds of faith. One is temporal faith, which is trusting God for the temporary things in life, like for your finances, health, tests on your final exams, etc. Then there is saving faith, which is trusting Jesus as your personal Saviour.
Don’t let pride hold you back. The Bible says:"Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. "James 4:10
Jesus said:"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
Are you tired of trying to measure up to God? Are you working hard trying to get your act cleaned up good enough, so you can present yourself before God in the hopes He will except your good works? That will not work because the Bible says;  "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8,9 Clearly, your own efforts will not work according to the Word of God.
Do you have a heavy heart? Are you struggling to make it through life? Why not give it all to Jesus?
Jesus said:
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10
" That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed." Romans 10:9-11
Believe in your heart, confess with you mouth agreeing that Jesus paid the price for your sin, and verbalize that to God by trusting Jesus as your Saviour.
The Lord wants to hear something like this from each of us. Dear God, I have sinned against you. Please forgive me for all my sin. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for me in payment for my sin, and rose again that I might have eternal life with Him.  Jesus, I am trusting in you and you alone to save me. In Jesus name. Amen
If you prayed that prayer and really meant it with all your heart, the following scripture applies to you. " Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17
If you meant it with all your heart, You have a new start. "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God". 1 John 5:11 to 13
If you meant that prayer with all your heart God wants you to know for sure you’re going to spend eternity with him.  "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's handI and my Father are one." John 10:28,29,30  There is no greater security than that.
